CATISFACTION

CATISFACTION is a story about a man and a cat.
It’s about relationships and how they can shape our life forever. It’s also about a weird character and his cat who claims his way to the eternity.
The story was created from the base element of a character with open arms in a Vespa and without any prewritten script. Having this first idea, I started developing moments around the characters: the Man and the Cat. Those moments were created without any constraints and completely based on my imagination of which I found out the narrative of the film.

I wrote, designed, animated and directed my first short film, which I believe fully encapsulates who I am as an artist.

BICHO DE SETE CABEÇAS

The expression "bicho de sete cabeças" is a common Portuguese expression that translates literally to "seven-headed beast." Figuratively, it refers to something that seems extremely complicated, overwhelming, or difficult to deal with, but in reality, it may not be as daunting as it initially appears.

This commercial highlights the challenges of dealing with tax bureaucracy in Portugal through the ''Bicho de sete cabeças'', while showcasing how those challenges can be turned into opportunities to support organizations like Operação Nariz Vermelho through donations.
DON'T WAKE UP THE PUSSY

"Don't Wake Up the Pussy" is a lighthearted tribute to the age-old rivalry between cats and rats, presented in a comedic tone.

A personal project I created during the pandemic, where I combined 3D animation with live-action footage featuring my cat and a fatty rat.

Carlsberg sought to expand into a new brand territory by associating with padel and organized a dedicated padel event.

To support its promotion, I designed, directed, and animated this short film.
BOOGYING WITH DAVID

To celebrate winning an award at the 8th Edition of the Florence Short Film Festival in 2022, I created a unique piece featuring Michelangelo's David dancing alongside the characters from my short film Catisfaction.
I thought this would be a fun and unique way to celebrate the achievement, and it’s ended up being one of my favorite pieces from the awards celebration.
EXQUISITE CORPSE

Monochrome black and white video based on the exquisite corpse method.

The challenge was to create a video where all the shots had less then 150 frames and that I would only start working on a shot once I've finished the previous one in order to create a linear video editing effect.
B-STRONG

This commercial was part of a rebranding proposal for the B-Strong brand.

The concept behind the video was to visually convey the brand’s values by emphasizing the strength of the logo and the impactful nature of the product.

Throughout the video, motion design, animation, and 3D elements seamlessly coexist.

JACARÉ

Short animation created for renowned chef José Avillez's restaurant, JACARÉ.

Drawing inspiration from the restaurant’s name, I developed this animation featuring a jacaré (alligator) to highlight the strength of the brand and create a powerful visual identity.

This animation was instrumental in helping me refine my skills, particularly in achieving realism and capturing the subtleties of natural textures
